Simply put - bullets.
Caps, pops, shots, fired and
unfired.
Revolving around chambers or
loaded through magazines,
one at a time - technically -
though the result might be
Twenty, Thirty, Something like that.
What is the Gun's Nature?
Simply put - death.
Removal of life, whether completely
or partially.
Killing cells, tearing muscles and
organs, maybe stopping the movement
of the body - technically -
though the answer is just
Violence, Harm, Something like that.
What is the Gun's Moral Nature?
Simply put - self-dependence.
Self-reliance, self-protection, self-
defense.
A notion of heroism, with all the sentiment
therein, touching the idyllic, maybe allowing
safety - technically -
though in reality it's all
Illusory, Fantasaical, Something like that.
What is the Gun's Political Nature?
Simply put - targeted.
Debated, narrated, fetishized, and
overcomplicated.
Revolving around chambers or
loaded through magazines,
one at a time - technically -
though the rhetoric appears
Esoteric, Useless, Something like that.
What is the Gun-as-Itself?
Simply put - product.
Made, distributed, fetishized, and
beloved.
Purchased, sold, gifted, an
abstract signifier awaiting a finger
to give it signified - technically -
though it is nevertheless
Weapon, Destroyer, Something like that.
